OP Mattyv12 CEG\'er M Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 332 C-more, CT	Sometimes when i start my car (95 stique gs 4 cyl) it hesitates to start and i have to give it some gas (not a lot just a little). Then while driving the check engine light came on for a few seconds. Since i am a new-b at car problems i thought either a battery or alternartor or is it something else 95 'stique gs 5-speed - Matty #10

The alternator charges the battery and provides the entire system with power when the engine is running, so it is probably OK too. Sounds like you have either an ignition or fuel problem.

If you have a battery or alternator problem you get the generator light. (Can't remember what it looks like???) Scott 95 SE-2.5L ATX (Sold, but not forgotten...)

bails CEG\'er B Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 52 Indianapolis, IN	i just had the same problem, if that light came on, it was probably from hitting the gas while starting, cause a bad mix during the start up probably O2 sensor.(thats what my code was) mine also was have trouble starting, it would turn over, but not like usual,kind of slow at it. i took the battery in and had it checked, it was the problem. i put the new one in and it kicked right over.
