I just installed a new clutch into my svt. that was crazy. but when i got it all back together i broke a bolt off of the exhaust in front of the main cat. Didn't think much of it but i know that there was an exhaust leak because you can here it. Tonight ( 3days after i finished the job and broke the bolt) i turn on the car and start it, and the CEL started blinking and then stopped blinking and stayed on.Is it because that leak in front of the cat that cause it to blink like that or is it something worse. and by the way the car has 78xxx miles on it.Can anyone help me please.

A blinking CEL is indicative of a misfire. You may have more than one problem going on, so go to Autozone and get the codes pulled. Post them here and someone will be able to help you.

i got a fouled plug on my zetec when my cell started to blink
