The Duratec doesn't use a timing belt, it uses timing chains...

Perhaps you are looking for the serp belt or water pump belt?

Yes, serpetine belt is on the passenger side, powers the a/c, alternator, etc. On duratecs, the waterpump (and its belt) and timing chain are on the driver's side.

Yup, you're looking for the serpentine belt (or serp, for short).

Do yourself a favor and buy an OEM serpentine belt and not an aftermarket one. The aftermarket belt I bought had this awful whine because it was cogged. No doubt it would last longer, but the noise was unbearable. I finally changed it back to the OEM belt and it's nice and quiet once again.
