Just curious, what do all of your duratec CD4E shift at when you go to wide open throttle. mine used to only go to about 5,500 rpm an all gears. then this weekend i found i have been driving a while with a pcv tube disconnected so i fixed that and reset computer. drove WOT and it went to 6,000 rpm then i raced my buddy and it went to 6,250 rpm
and our redline is 6,750 rpm. just curious what all you guys cars are shifting at to, i think its a definite improvement, those secondaries scream at that speed.

Geez! I had the same problem before I gutting my precats. It was a rare moment for me to get above 5500 RPMs. Now it easily screams up to 6000 and every now and again it will go up to 6500 during a 2 gear down shift.

As for overall shift points... I can't say for certain. I will check though. It would nice to compare with everyone. It would be very interesting to see what people are getting with and without chips installed also.

So, to get the conversation rolling here are the factory specs...

*Note* These specs, from the 98 service manual are based on speedometer reading and not tach readings. I guess this was because some cars did not have a tach installed. These are all upshift operations. I did not include any of the downshift or coasting operations.

My zetec shifts at 6,750rpm at WOT.

My Duratec SE Sport with the Diablo Sport chip shifts each gear at 6500 rpm during WOT.

with the chip my duratec shifted between 6800 and 7000

In the XGT1 computer the shift points are all 6800 at WOT. Yeah the SVT computer still has auto tranny info in there.
