Can anyone provide me with the OEM part numbers for the front and rear strut assemblies for a 98.5 SVT?

Looked at Ford's online part catalogue, and I'm not 100% certain which one I should be looking at.

Thanks in advance.

Gotta look in the catalog and you gotta know your BUILD DATE.

The build date is 2/28/98. Therefore, I think that the right part number is ASH-1 for the front and ASH-68 for the rear.

However, there are 5 other possible choices.

I'm asking because I have a mechanic who I may hire to install new struts for me. However, even though I trust them and their work, I like to make 100% sure for myself that they are ordering the right part number for my SVT.

Sorry if I appear obtuse, but I really know squat about suspension stuff. Which is why I'm here, asking for advice.

And when you say, "gotta look in the catalog," I'm assuming that the online part lookup at motorcraft.com is what you mean? 'Cause that's where I've been looking.

Go look at www.fordpartsonline.com

The prices are very reasonable!

Or call our guy Bill Jenkins..he'll know what you need (stock wise) and offer you great prices...

I really must be the only one around here who doesn't get it, and I apologize if I am being really dumb. I have said, however, that I don't know a lot about suspension stuff, so I would hope that all the people - who are trying to be as helpful as they can, I think - would realize they need to talk at the most basic level to me.

I need the part number. The part number. The online catalog doesn't give you a part number. It shows me that I can get the strut for the low, low price of $63.70 each from Bill Jenkins, but it doesn't give me the part number.

What I need is the part number. For the front and rear struts on my 98.5 CSVT, which has a build date of 2/28/98.

Or, at least, someone could tell me how to find the part number, I would be most appreciative. It's just that the online catalogs I have looked at don't seem to list the part number.

No, no, no....

I must not be explaining myself clearly at all.

I need the part number.

I'm not very good at this at all, it seems.
