Mine catalytic converter plugged up solid on me and I was wondering if there are any options other than fords $400 stock cat. MY mechanic found it when I took my car in for loss of brakes and low power. HE can't let it go cause he does emissions testing and safties. Anything cheaper i can use would be great.

Get a high flow. It is cheaper at least and I don't think it would hurt performance.

What he said. However I thought you could take it elsewhere to do it. Or even do it yourself and then bring it back and prove that it was done in so many days.
