Okay...1999 SVT with 46K and no problems to date..yeah!! The car is completly stock.

So just today if I take a sharp right hand turn (say like in leaving a parking lot to a main road) and only traveling at maybe 10mph, a loud grinding noise comes from the rear. It is similar to the sound that an exhaust pipe would make if it was hitting something. Quiet straight forward, and quiet on left hand turns.
I took a quick peek under at lunch and nothing seemed loose. At first I suspected a rear wheel bearing, but this does not sound like a bearing noise failure(but who knows.)
Anyone ever run into something like this??

Check your exhaust and look for all of the rubber hangers.
You may be missing one, or have one that is stretched out.
Look at the heat shields for any shiny surfaces.
Look at the exhaust pipes for shiny areas.

Does the noise happen on all right hand turns now or was it a one time thing?
