Hi all, just like the topic title says....i need advice with the damn ignition coil. I did my search and everything and I can relate to some of the posts. Anyhow, I had driven the car today after getting the typical studder and knock one may expect out of misfiring plugs due to bad spark conduction..........
put the timing gun to test and spark wire 1 & 2 do not light up at all. Diagnosis bad freakin' coil.
Didn't know it would cost that much. Damn, so i'm waiting for an advice.
Go to Ford they quote me $265 cdn. - i go to another place they sell generic and I didn't ask what brand and they sell for $176 cdn.
-Do you recommend staying with Ford OEM? or should i go with the aftermarket generic one? I'm asking as i want to make sure that the qualities are at par and that the prices that I was quoted seem right?

OEM for $265 or generic for $165?
P.S. - would i have damaged anything driving about 15 km's on 4 cylinders? I hope not, but tell me otherwise.
