Guys...
The person who bought my contour is getting the abs and traction lights on when he drives sometimes... it seems to me that he gets them on when he went to the car wash... does anyone know what could be the problem... he shuts of the car and they still will be on... any help will be appreciated.

You would appear to be describing a unique problem that no one has encountered, therefore no replies.
If it was hand wash with a pressure spray wand I would suspect wheel sensor short due to water, or possibly misalignment of sensor if wheel wells were vigourously sprayed. Was engine compartmentt washed as well?

Recommend that all brake fluid in system be replaced as well ensuring that method be used that is suitable with ABS vehicles so no air is entrained in system. ABS systems have aluminum parts that corrode internally when fluid is not replaced since it absorbs moisture.
