I have always used 93 and sometimes 94. Would a lower 87 or 89 be ok to use? I heard something that using 87 would make you car run bad with a chip. Is this true??
I have superchip.

I ran 87 octane with my chip and the car ran like crap (hesitation, worse gas mileage)....don't do it.

I think the chip reprograms it for 91 and above.
