Let me know if you're going to sell your car. Steph's got a friend that may be in the market for a Contour.

I found mine on www.autotrader.com and love it. I had to drive to Baltimore for it, but it was so worth it. When using Autotrader, click advance settings and then choose V-6 and manual transmissions, 98-00 years and it will screen out most other Contours since you could only get the SVT with a 6 and stick in those years.

I just kept looking on the classifieds on this site, eventually found one in NJ and went to pick it up. I was originally looking for lower miles also, but ended up getting a really nicely modded and excellent condition svt for a very good price that had 77k miles (almost all highway) on it. If the engine goes in the next few years ill pick up a 3L

Are you saying full coverage or tickets/traffic violations?
Plus I'm still on my parents plan but my dad is going to get a pontiac grand prix GTP in a couple days from a relative. The reason for this post is that I was expecting him to trade in a car for a BMW (what he wanted) and was thinking he could trade in my contour and get more money for it than he could get for his 95 explorer (98k miles)...guess not I'll still have to see what I can do but now I doubt getting an SVT will be dooable

No it doesn't.
An SVT was only $150/yr more on my insurance plan.
If it costs more on your plan, then you've got moving violations, a new plan, or not enough experience behind the wheel...
