i need to know what are the sizes of the se lim primary and secondary ports,my car is a 99 st24/se 170bhp with return style injectors.also what are the head port sizes .
i have done a search but i dont know if the information i find is for se or svt.i was thinking of opening up the the lim ports a bit if they are not the same size as svt,and optimising the butterflys.
also i was gonna flex hone the uim.
what are the optimum sizes for the ports uim & lim?
thanks for any help

right ive done some more research and found that

standard lim =31/32mm

svt lim = 34/35mm ports

so what i need to know is what are the head inlet port sizes for a 99 170 bhp return style lim car.
anyone ?

I don't have the data on hand, but if I recall they are around the same size as the exit port diameters of the lower intake manifold.
It is really irrelevant unless you are planning on port matching or widening the ports. If this is your intent then you can safely widen the ports to 36-37mm.

well have been thinking of opening up the lim a bit but have lost confidence that i can do it,so it would be easier to buy a svt lim anyway, and port matching the uim to match.
but i want to know if there will be a restriction at the heads inlet ports with the svt lim on.

Non-SVT & non-returnless LIM's are the smallest of the 3 sizes.

Largest are late 99, 00, and returnless LIM's - Rated at 34mm/35mm actual size is 33.5mm/34.7mm

1st SVT LIM (98, 98.5, early 99) - Rated at 31mm/32mm - actual size 30.7mm/31.8mm

Stock LIM - No rating - measured at ~29mm/~30mm

For reference the 99/00 DH UIM meaures in at:
Primary: 30.5mm
Secondary: 31.8mm
TB Inlet: 66.3mm

The 00 SVT Cylinder Head Inlet Ports (99 & 00 had more EHing done to the head ports - 98/98.5 smaller yet - stock just TINY!)
Primary: 33mm
Secondary: 34mm

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
