I live in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and I'm paying about $1.90 per gallon of 87 octane and I was wondering what others around the country where paying. Place & Price Thanxz

In SE Wisconsin I'm paying about $1.82 for 87 octane in the Sport and about $2.02 for 93 octane in the SVT.

Just got back from a long road trip up the East Coast to New Brunswick. Prices seemed to get higher the farther north I got, from about $1.77 in Virginia to $1.98 in Maine for 87 octane (in Canada, God knows what I paid; .87 Canadian per liter or something...OTOH, they had better-maintained roads than we do (at least in NB) so maybe it's worth it.

$1.70 for mobile 93 octane
I have a question, since we won the war, why isn't our gas prices like 15 cents? I mean we coulda exchange them some oil for us beating the sh!t outta Saddam and his god-awful military.

We get about 10% of our total oil from the middle east. Most, IIRC comes from Canada and South (Central?) America.
Gas prices are the biggest pile of BS I've ever seen. The latest hike is being blamed on a blackout (wtf are they thinking there?!) and ONE piple having a blockage in AZ. There is absolutely ZERO real management of gas prices, and I've NEVER seen anything so arbitrary as the raising and lowering of gas prices.
That being said, I'm paying over $2 for 93 here in MA, and it's about $1.80 or so for 89 for the g/f's Vue.

last I saw it was $1.90 for 87 here up state CT
at home closer to NYC I am sure it could be a bit more
this pissed me off, back on the 22nd I came to school in the morning and gas was $1.63, when I left it had gone to $1.75, plus they were filling up at the time so I am sure that had something to do with it

Little investigation into the situation. I could care less since it's still cheaper than bottled water and I don't drive an SUV. You're going to need it so quit crying. Unfounded raising of prices gets me going a little though.
