looks like im getting my 3rd contour...but this time
in the alternate flavor, the mystique with a v6.
have a couple problems being checked out before i sign the dots and all,
the CEL light was on when i test-drove..went and pulled the code and was told the throttle position sensor had a problem, i should of gotten the code
We reset the code, and it hasnt come back on yet and i did a pretty good amount of driving in it this afternoon around town and highway..(how fast will that v-6 go..no speed limiter of 110???? i was at 115 and had to slow down)
Since the cel hasnt come back..would you think just carbon buidup or something else possible besides the sensor??
also, the airbag light is flashing, i will not buy it until this is taken care of...
minor little things also like the pass side power mirror isnt working, and when you press the o/d switch on and off..the light on the dash doesnt come on.
I think this is all...it has an aftermarket radio with cd player, which is decent sounding.
Im still kinda bumbed out about my first choice being sold from out from under me..really..me in the drivers seat..haha long story, 1998 volkswagen passat gls with 91k miles...mhhm i was drooling over it at 6k for all.
Well, back to my new mystique...its 98 with 2.5l v6, 84,5k miles and we talked today with a price of 4950, which will be adjusted one way or another due to the airbag situation.
Trying to think of any specifics to look at on the car before finishing up all this weekend.
Thanks for everyones help and ideas about my last contour that was totalled out recently, im trying to wrap things up with that still, insurance offered 4944 for my 98 contour gl (63,840miles) and im trying to prove market value is higher with others around the state.
