forgive me for my ignorance, but what exactly is "throttle hang"?

I just got my CSVT this week, and it's the first MTX I've owned, so it might well be driver error, but last night I noticed (a couple of times) I would let off the gas and push in the clutch, and the revs would stay up around 3K RPM - is this what is meant by "throttle hang", and does the moose fix get rid of this?

Also, if this is throttle hang, is this something actually wrong with the car, or is it an emissions thing that's actually been designed into the ECU? What damage, if any, does this do to the vehicle?

Yes, what you described is know as Throttle Hang. Do a search for more information on this topic. The is a "fix" for it listed on this forum. I've learned to live with it. Mine comes and goes.

Yes Delamr that was the "TH"

It was designed into the ECU for emmission puposes.

Personally I have never had any issue with it, It actually keeps the revs in line for when I want to throttle up.

Enjoy the 'Tour
