Anybody out there used this cordless radar detector? I've heard some very good reviews but thought I should check in with the CEG before I spring for one.

Personally, I think the batteries would drive me nuts. I'll settly for a corded model!

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I own one, I've had it for 6 months or so. It's fantastic. The best cordless I have used ever. I use a cordless because detectors are not entirely legal here in VA.

Anyway, the K band and Ka detection levels are superb. Which helps a lot because majority of the radar devices use K or Ka bands. I usually get around a mile or so warning if they are using continuous sweep modes. Laser detection is great as well. The detector has saved me from a many a ticket so far. As for the battery life they last a LONG time. I've only changed my batteries twice in 6 months and I use it at least 4 times a week regularly. The custom program levels are awesome as well. I use the expert meter which allows you to see how many of each band of radar is being used and their strengh levels.

All in all, IMO it's an excellent choice, especially if you're going cordless. I think it's the best out there. I think the retail of $329 is too much to pay though (I'm cheap). I got mine from Ebay for $235.

Word of warning though. Watch out for Instant On Radar and Laser! They will nail you! Sure you'll detect them but there is no detector out there that will save your a$$ from that unless the officer is targeting a car ahead of you and your detector picks up the signal. Hope this all helps.
