Haven't had one of these in a while. This is my college setup this year.
Candid camera shot taken by a friend: my ugly mug chatting with friends online. Messiness is due to first-day-of-school homework etc.
PowerBook G4 1GHz/512MB/60GB/Superdrive; fan to keep the heat down; Vtech VT-1421 cordless phone (Star Trek!); typing on first-gen Logitech Cordless Desktop (circa 1999) with 15" CRT attached to eMachines/366/96/4GB, Canon N670U scanner, TV tuner, Logitech speakers and HP Deskjet 810c; 17" Trinitron attached to yard-sale find (PII/400/128/8GB - currently not online due to Blaster worm locking out my network port); Logitech Cordless Navigator Duo SE with 17" Apple CRT attached to Power Mac G3 AV 266/320/40GB with Sony stereo and iPod 10GB (3rd gen). Out of view: PowerBook 3400c (200MHz/16MB/2GB) and Sony Vaio FXA53 laptop (1.3/256/30), the latter of which will soon no longer be mine due to PowerBook purchase. In two years I plan to build a PC and get rid of one current one.
Having a desk the size of a long-twin bed rocks; the only unfortunate consequence is that the bed is above the desk.
Across the 12x10 room is my
friend's setup on a similar desk, with a gap in the monitors to allow space for a 17" Apple LCD display when he gets his G5 2GHz dualies.
We haven't popped the circuit breaker ... yet.
