There are 3 csvt's on carmax.com for sale.

1- 1999 tropical green svt contour $10,998 w/38k miles w/tan leather in duarte,california

2-1999 t-red svt contour $9,998 w/76k miles w/tan leather in laurel,maryland

3-1998 silver frost svt contour $10,599 w/67k miles w/midnight blue leather

remember car max will transport anycar to the closest carmax to you for $250.00 but sometimes it takes time. I bought mine from carmax almost a year ago and have loved it. They are great and the car WILL run great or they will not sell it. The 1st one (tropical green) is a steel. Well I just wanted to share that with everyone. Have fun.

New to the board, but thought I might let you know there are even better deals on SVT's out there right now. I just picked up mine...A 2000 Ford Contour SVT #1151 T-Red with 37K (and a brand new dealer installed engine w/only 1800mi. or so) for just $8995. I paid tax and shipping out of my pocket, so if you add that in, I'm still out for just $10269.70 complete. That '99 you were mentioning is a pretty fair deal though.

If buying from CARMAX make sure that you run CARFAX, and if you allow them to run it for you make sure that you verify the numbers on the report and the car match. CARMAX is notorious for selling "reconditioned" vehicles, i.e. rebuilt wrecks. I know first hand from a buddy that bought an SVT Contour from them last year that his car had a "severe impact" to the right front of the vehicle. Buyer beware.
