Well yesterday I was rear ended in the tour. Definatly needs a new bumper, but everything else is fine. My 14 year old was with me and we are both fine. If someone can host pics I have some of the damage. He hit me with a 97 s-10 pick up, that had the factory tow loops in the front. It now looks like I was getting ready to install fog lights in the back bumper and only got 1 hole cut. the tow loop punctured the bumper and made a decent sized hole in the bumper. My question is if his insurance company wants to patch the bumper, can I tell them no I want a new bumper installed, and how hard is it going to be to get a 95 bumper? I don't want to mix and match bumpers I think it would look like crap. I realize if I can find a 95 bumper (like in a junk yard) I can have it painted to match. What other options do I have?? Can I get one special ordered from Ford??
After being rear ended 2 times in Cavaliers I was plensantly surprised how solid the tour felt when he hit me and how well she held up. He will need a new bumper and grill. If the tow hook wouldn't have popped a hole in mine it might be able to just have the scratches buffed out!
Thanks in advance for the input!!!

Not sure about your state regs, but, I believe it's a safety issue if the bumper is not replaced.
