I have a 98 contour se zetech 33000 miles just started flashing 4-2 airbag code tried disconecting battery still flashes.if anyone can help please reply

Same thing happened to me.
There is a sansor recall for this.
Have you had it performed?

I'd start there.

Yes, there is a recall. Even if you are not under warranty, Ford should cover this; if the sensor is at fault. Don't know what the 4-2 code means.
