I just installed an alpine HU into my contour svt and mb quartz in the rear doors. When i turn the volume up, the lights on the deck and interior dim when the bass hits. No amp or subs yet, but its most likely going to get worse when i do get them. Why is this happening already and what can I do to fix it? Thanks.

Whoa, you just have a deck installed and your lights are dimming already? Check that the positive and ground off connections off the battery are clean and not corroding.

They are definately not clean and are corroding. Should I replace them? How would I go about cleaning them to try and save money and time? If that doesn't work I guess I should replace the connectors? Thanks again.

With Alpine HU's you have to run the Yellow Power wire straight to your battery because they pull too much current. Check the manual and it will tell you.
