oh wow, where to start!

ok, we'll cover SOME the performance mods.

Street Flight turbo kit
Vortech Supercharger
3.0L engine swap
Tons of aftermarket air filters: KKM, K&N, BAT, etc
Bassani, Borla, Bosal, TruBendz, Yo-dude, etc etc
Y-pipes
MSDS headers
Clutches: SPEC, Greddy, Centerforce, etc
Flyhweels: Fidanza, Unorthodox Racing
quaife lsd
Brakes: Baer, Brembo, Wilwood, TCE, etc
Electric waterpump
Dual mode dampener
Apexi SAFC
bigger MAF
triple honed UIM
optimized throttle body
B&M short throw shifter, Steeda, etc
the list goes on... enough money can buy you anything custom you want.

SOME Aesthetics:

Kaotic Innovations bodykit, widebody, and hood
Carbon fiber hood
Wheels galore!
Milan Motorsports projectors (if hes still making them)
Mirko splitter
clear corner mod
sidemarkers
deknauberize your doors
indiglo gauges and hvac
Racing seats
powdercoated engine parts, custom paint jobs...the options are limitless.

the aftermarket for the contour is better than what people think. and if they dont make it, someone has enough money out there to produce it.

intake: K&N filter...the part number has been posted numerous times but i dont know it off the top of my head.

exhaust: IMHO, id say true duals

Deknauberize your doors means to take the ding strips off your doors. gives it a cleaner look.

Magnaflow mufflers, i just got mine last weekend, and by far is the BEST mod i have done to date. i got my intake from SHO SHOP with a custom heat shield. Dont forget about saving some time and money for you Water pump, will definetly break right around 50,000 miles. no joking it happens to everyone.....or is that only happens to 'tours that are made before '99? either way good luck and look in the search before asking questions on the board. Ask about NOS system for the duratec, and youll get yelled at!

It's "Knauberize" after our local CAP CEGer Bobby Knauber.

Good list.

Andy,
How much are you looking to spend?
What is your focus - aesthetics, speed, handling, brakes, balance of all?
Daily driver?

Take a look at the FAQ and Mods/Parts

The Search should be your new best friend. Use it to search the various sections for respective mods.

ahh thanks!
i think i will keep the door ding preventors on!
im looking at getting a "COLD AIR" from SHOshop! has anyone had good/bad experiences with it? is it worth the money?
im not looking to get the car up to like 300 hp just a bit more wouldnt hurt. i just dont want to go overboard with the mods. intake and exhaust for now will be fine!

also I found a hood, with a scoop i really liked but i dont want the kit that goes with it... kaiotic or something like that... how can i find out if they sell JUST the hood? or do they make a CF hood?
thanks again guys! this is great information

its kaotic innovations. they do make the hood in carbon fiber as well. there is a group buy for just the hood.

RU-3530 is the P/N for that K&N. If you go this route you need to get a MAF adapter...costs about 30 bucks IIRC.

The first thing you need to do is replace the factory waterpump with an aftermarket version that has the metal impellar. After that, install the Dual Mass Dampener (DMD). You may even want to consider an oil accumulator. Do the "preventive failure" mods first before bumping-up power output.
