MidwestSVT Newbie M Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 6 Indianapolis	This is simple a cost issue. Like so many other products today, it is cheaper to make an injected molded part versus an aluminum casting. Heat is not a problem on the intake side. Matter of fact, some newer cars are manufactured using a complete plastic intake manifold. Once again for cost.
