Has anyone bought one of these? Is it better than the Chilton of haynes manual? I'm a bit skeptical because they are only $20.

Yes they are good if not better. I sell them for $8 which includes shipping. They even include wiring diagrams. See sig. Ask the many that have ordered a copy from me.

The one I bought for the 95's covers about everything Ford or Mercury made in 95, including Contour, Mystique, Taurus, Mustang, Lincoln, Escort, Sable, Crown Victoria, etc. Probably everything except the trucks. It includes all engines, all transmissions, etc.
It's a really good CD, much better than the Haynes manual. However, I also bought a paper copy of the Ford Service Manual from Ebay, and I must admit that I prefer the paper copy to the CD. The CD has much more information (considering all the different cars), but the paper version is easier to navigate around in.

The paper one (if you can find one) is $30+.

Yeah, I think that's about what I gave, and then I paid shipping on top of that. It's also limited to only one year of one model.

the paper ones from Helm, Inc. cost about $65 and thats just for the shop manual, not the electrical diagrams, thats $12 and the eleectric/vacuum troubleshooting guide is $35, and i am sure there are other books that you gonna need with it, so for $8.00 i got a good buy even if its only one year ford, but it covers everything, and it is earier to put the paper books out and go through them than going through a cd, i got lost alot of times and could not find my way back to where i was seconds earlier.....it take some getting used to...

Hi all, I picked up a 2 set version of the 98 Merc Mystique (paper manuals) for $10 plus shipping on eBay. Really was great buy but was diappointed that there was no wiring diagrams. Troubleshooting guidelines in book 2 for electrical problems but no schemetics. Haynes book was better for that. If the CDs have that portion, maybe most of us should get a cd version as these cars are a real mess for wiring harness problems, defective wires, etc...Have a great day!...duane in KC
