I had some huge issues with my superchip. Here's how I fixed the problems. First, remove the entire ECU from the car (there is a 10mm nut on the wiring harness that's right against the firewall under the hood.) Loosen the nut, and the ECU will slide out from underneath the glove box. Take the metal cover off by removing the screws from the corners of the unit. Then, take one of those reall sharp pen knifes(or razor, etc.) and begin scraping both sides of the contacts. Once your confident that you got all of the big stuff off of them , take some rubbing alcohol and the pads provided with the superchip and scrub the contacts until they begin turning a copper color. Clean w/ some more rubbing alcohol then dry with a clean paper towel. Reassemble, put the superchip in (with some electrical tape to keep it from moving around) and you should be set. These direction came from Warren at KKM, so they are from an expert. Good luck, hopes this solves your problems.
