When i turn on my A/C my eng reves up and down like it's trying to keep running or something but it only happends when i turn on the A/C has anyone eles had this prob ? and if so what do i need to fix it? the A/C blows cool air but not cold like it did last year any help would be great thanks

I seem to be having the same problem. Take a look at my post and tell me if yours is acting the same way.

Please help us out. I am getting pissed because these leather seats never cool down anymore.

Sounds like it's low on freon. Refill it yourself or have someone do it for you.

I will definitely check the freon levels. Being that mine was just serviced (supposedly) do you think the level would be low?

Grymes No i don't think it is the same mine is like the eng revs up and down when i am just sitting there at a light or stoped like it is trying to keep running i don't hear air or anything like in your post (unless i looked at the wrong post). but i still need some help on this thanks all

I read your post also. Seems like you're having the same problem, but the noise may indicate some type of leak. It's very possible if anything was removed for inspection it may not have been reinstalled correctly. If you've had it done very recently, I'd take it back and have the shop recheck it.

The thing is, the previous owner had it worked on. If I can get the receipt for the previous owner, do you think that they would look at it no problem?

I think it depends on the amount of time since it was done and how helpful the shop is. Was it at a Ford shop?

bigsam: You can get a recharge kit at Pep Boys, Kragen, Wal-Mart, etc. for about $25 that should help you out. Is it a Zetec or Duratec?

mine is the Zetec 4 banger the eng revs up and down and you feel it is the A/C needs a recharge?

Yes, it needs a recharge. It isn't hard to do - I've become quite familiar with the process since my A/C has a leak (hope to have that fixed by next month). If you need simple directions, let me know and I'll help ya out.
