Just wanted to double check. I did a search and I think I got my answer but I just want to make sure. It is possable to Supercharge a 00CSVT? All I would need is 24lb injectors and a custom burned chip is this correct? If there is anything I am missing or need to know to do this please let me know. Thank you.

You're on the right track, I would suggest searching, I think you've got it all, but I would contact Street Flight to get the chip burned since they know our duratecs inside out. . .reason no one is really posting is because for the money, you're pretty much wasting your time unless CARB certification is an issue. . .a street flight turbo kit will cost the same as a vortech after you've paid for all the reinstallations, laborious shipping of parts back to vortech, etc. I've asked the same question and from what I can tell, only 3 people have supercharged their engines without any problems to the car or supercharger assembly. EVERYBODY else has had issues with the supercharger. At least the turbo kit hasn't failed, problems have only come up because people are putting them on older engines or some real bright ones run around without an intercooler ( , not naming anyone!) BUT the kit has had ZERO problems, which is evidence of the years of R&D put into it. So, if you have the $3500 laying around for the vortech, day trade in some biotech stocks for a week, and make the additionally $1500 to get the turbo kit.

are you sure you want a SC? Nothing against any vortec owners...but it just seems like a foolish choice at this point.

I must be one of those three. No problems so far. I have been running SC'd since November 2001. I am trouble free, except I need to get a Street Flight chip. I run autox and open track. I have over 350 miles of hard track time with no troubles. but, all the folk on this board make me nervous.

Thanks guys. I've always been a fan of superchargers so I was tempted to try it. I just wanted to make sure it was possable if I ever went that route. Now that I know I think I'm going to save up for a 3.0 liter and the Turbo Kit. Thanks again.

Yes there is a turbo kit. Look for a button at the bottom of the page and says "display posts for the last few..." days, weeks, months, etc. Go back about 6 months to the present and you will find dozens of posts on the topic and all you information. Otherwise you may try searching for specific phrases with the search utility. I just don't have time right now to repeat all the information, but I'll try to help later if you still have more questions. By the way, yes yes yes. It works, its awesome and its fun. warmonger
