hope this is not a repost

Under the hood is a specially tuned LS1 5.7-liter V-8 aluminum-block engine currently estimated at 340 horsepower @ 5200 rpm, 360 lbs.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm with an appropriately tuned Pontiac exhaust note. While sharing the same basic engine configuration with the base-level Chevrolet Corvette, the LS1 engine in the GTO has been modified with a high-lift camshaft and increased airflow induction to create greaterhorsepower and low-end torque than the Holden Monaro to address the needs of U.S. drivers.

I think its a dope car, even though its a GM... I don't think they should have called it a GTO,though. If they wanted to bring back the GTO, they should have made it look more like the original(as originally plannned by GM I believe), like Ford did with the T-Bird. Regardless of those things, hot car....

Minus some of the rediculous styling details, overall its a nice/simple looking car with some balls also. Always a plus in my book.

I think pontiac has a good thing on their hands with the GTO, hopefully this is the first step in the right direction for them.

yeah some of the styling is unmistakably pontiac-ish.. it looks to me like a souped up grand am. lol, in that first pic, the silver thing at the end of the bumper almost looks like a giant fart missile.. but minus the edgy lined styling i personally like the car. the v8 dosent hurt either. i would like to see some of those dyno results, though.
