It seems that I have to replace one fog or the other with every oil change. They keep burning out. I've packed the boots with dilectic grease and have since wrapped electrical tape from around the bulb connector back onto the harness itself. Any ideas for solving the problem?

What brand of bulbs are you using ?
Before I replaced my Fogs with the PIAA 510s, I used Sylvania bulbs.
They would last about a year.

there a good chance that there is a crack in the fog lamp housing. since I do not know if you have a contour or a mystique it could be something different. having a mystique it has square lights and I had one crack on the top center from front to back. water got in but not out and it killed the bulb. the passanger side one was cracked top and bottom the same way so it took longer for the bulb to burn out. so you have to take the assembly out and check the casing for cracks and replace or seal it. I was quoted $90 for the setup: bracket, housing and bulb

Still have the the original bulbs in my car and use the fogs quite a bit since doing the mod 2 years ago.

I've been using the Sylvania bulbs right along. I haven't always had this problem. I've had my SVT for about two years but in the last 8-9 months four bulbs have been replaced, two per side. Can water getting on the bulb itself cause the burnout or does the water have to get inside the boot?
