Do you still have the original black plastic impeller water pump in your SVT? If so, I'd look at replacing it as you're right in the mileage window for the majority of failures with that ****
part. It's no fun whatsoever to have it go away from home. BTDT
My trip items usually include, above and beyond what's already been mentioned:
- cell phone
- gloves
- flashlight
- Bottled water to drink
- choclate bars and Worthers candy (quick sugar hit when tired 1-3 hrs after lunch)
- water for rad.
- 1-2 quarts of oil
- torque wrench with socket for lug nuts
- air compressor (not usually necessary)
- tire gague (service stations are usually inaccurate)
- an old drop sheet to put on the ground if I've got to crawl under the car.
(can't crawl under my SVT w/GC's however)
