In the couple of weeks I plan on putting some LED's and small neons inside my car. My question is does ford make a switch that fits in the opening next to the rear defrost switch? If people don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to the opening to the left side of the steering wheel, right by the side mirror adjustment. As always, thanks for the information in advance.

I'm not sure if they make a switch for it but if they don't it would seem to me you could just snag a defrost switch from a junkyard and stick it in there then just run the wires to it.

I actually had a hole drilled in mine and installed a blue LED for my alarm light.

That is where I put my switch for my LED's. Most companies provide you with the switch. Just carefully cut the plastic cover to accomodate and you are done.
Hope that helps Rich

I took mine out, drilled a hole, and ran a push button switch for my indiglo ford oval in that space. I'll take pics if you wanna see what I'm talking about.

2k svts have traction controll in that location. Not 100% sure of it though, so ford should sell a switch for the location. Might want to call them. As for my car, I just bought neons for under my car, and ran a switch to the middle open piece between the clock and the defrost switch. Its not painted yet so I haven't totally installed it yet. but the time is coming for it.

Please post pics, I'm now thinking of getting those small circle red switches that glow. I think they would look hot glowing all of the time....
