Ok, here is what has happened in the past couple weeks.
My car has been runnung kinda rough. All throughout the RPM range the car "burps" or hesitates briefly. It does this every 10-15 seconds or so, it's slight but annoying. Also my power, especially in the lower RPM's is also lacking. I first changed my spark plugs thinking this would solve the problem. Nope.
I had a CEL so I scanned it. The code was P0402. I had searched around CEG and decided to clean the EVR filter as my course of action.
After doing some freeway driving (about 4 hours) I got another CEL. This time it was P0420. Another search shows that it seems to be caused by a clogged catalytic converter. Is this a correct analysis?
I want to upgrade my exhaust system, I was thinking of going with the SHO y-pipe. is there anything else I need besides this? What goes into the install? Will it solve my problem (clogged cat)?
