clicking yes.....ok when i first start to drive the car it seems to be low on oil or something. but when i check it it is fine. i don't have a clue what it could be. step-dad suggested sticky valve or something of this sort. will i be able to fix myself or will ford rape AGAIN without using K.Y. mad

I am going to guess a Zetec engine on this one. If it is, my car does it and it seems to be normal.

If its a Zetec, its the timing belt hitting the cover on startup. No big deal. Mine does it too once in awhile.

some peopel have problems with the tensinoer chattering I think. I guess it's possible to get noise from the timing chain as well. Don't ignore a tap on a zetec...same thing happened to my old one, and when I finally brought it in thinking it was no big deal it was about $1000 worth of work to fix and it still makes the noise!
