The runners never have to be replaced!! The only thing if any is the imrc controller (the little box covered by plastic on your left valve cover) what happens is there is a little white plastic spool inside the box that commonly breaks and locks the runners in place, I would check this first, the box can be opened by just unscrewing the four top screws and prying the top of with a screw driver. if that is not the problem let me know and I will check those trouble codes out for you.
