JUST PURCHASED A SET OF CSVT RIMS FROM E1FLAKEDSVT AND WE NOTICED THE FRONT SPRINGS ARE RUBBING A LITTLE ON THE TOP OF THE TIRES.....ANY QUICK FIXES???

I remember reading somewhere that SVT tie rod ends are different so that SVT wheels do not rub their tires. This means that SVT wheels would rub on non-SVT vehicles. Perhaps the steering/suspension can be modded to the SVT specs.

What type of tires and what SIZE do you have on the rims ?
The Tires should not rub unless they are really WIDE.

You have to use aftermarket suspension to make it work. When I bought new wheels for my SVT I thought I could just put the SVT ones on my stock 96 - didn't work. But others who have put aftermarket suspension have not had the same problems...
that's just what I've observed - I havn't tested it but I will be adding a suspension kit to my 96 in about 2 months - no point it letting good tires and wheels just sit in my backyard.

WTH are you talking about? Never had any troubles with my 96 SE. EO's bolted right on. Never seen a post on anyone having a problem.

nossvtcontour has a 95 SE.
He just put 17 x 7 wheels with 215/45/17 tires on his car with no problems at all.
He has even swapped in a SVT Rack & Pinion and he still doesn't have any problems.
The balance of his suspension is stock.
The STOCK SVT wheels (E0 & E1) and tires can be put on all years and all makes of Contours.
The only times you *may* get any rubbing is with those Contours that have had the Spring Guards placed on the front struts.
The Spring guards may be just low enough to rub on the inside of the tire.
If this is the case, the guards can be removed, trimmed, and replaced.
You should not have to replace any suspension components at all.
There are a number of Contours, 4cyl, 6 cyl, GL, LX and SE that have put SVT Wheels and tires on, in place of the original wheels.
