My 98 SE V6 ATX clunks and creaks fron the front end under the following conditions. 1) At a stand still in D or R while turning steering wheel to maneuver in parking spots. 2) Slow speed turning over small bump surfaces, i.e. driveway surface seams, speed bumps etc. and 3) when changing forward or reverse driving direction immediatly after selecting the gear and on initial accelleration. In addition, when turning steering wheel to the opposite lock, either at a standstill or very low speed, there is a clunk noise. All of the clunks can be felt through the steering column and steering wheel. The outer tie-rod ends and lower control arms were all recently replaced under ESP. Could this be cause by the upper strut bearing race assembly or possibly the steering rack. What do you guys think? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
PS. Off topic - the right rear C pillar area also creaks and groans when turning sharply into garage/parking on-off ramps. Any ideas please?
