I've been told it is about 7 hrs to get our clutch replaced? Sounds incredibly long and high$$$ to me, What are you guys experience with this?
Ideas on what brand and $ of clutch to get for everyday driving as well please?

it took 10 hours by the book to replace my clutch, the entire subframe gets dropped. total for labor was about $850. word of advice to everyone, BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CLUTCHES!!!
"What did you think about that Dorothy girl?"
"The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. That doesn't make me some sort of fag does it?
"Nah baby, your money."

I've got a spec clutch coming from the GB abd ford told me the same...10 hrs even though that seems ridiculous to me. I did find a reputable local tranny shop though that quoted me $500 for labor as opposed to the stealership's $675! IIRC correctly they have to drop the subframe to get the tranny out to work on it...PITA job but I still don't see where it should take 10 hours, 6 or 7 I could see but 10 hous is a little high, but that's Ford for you...HIGH.
On a side note, I'll have a SVT clutch and flywheel available soon (just under 40K miles) if anyone's interested I'll probably post it in the classifieds.

Yeah, replacing a clutch is serious business, lots of labor, especially on a FWD car. Seven hours sounds about right.
