Hey guy's what's up I need your help. I've had my car brought in twice already for the 3rd gear grind but now it's 2nd gear. Ford replaced my trans twice already not knowing that I ran it in the 1/4 mile. Anyway this time I brought my car to the same dealer but with the racing #'s on it. They said that since I brought the car to the track that it voids the warranty. I told them that I took it 2 months ago and that 2nd gear started grinding under normal driving conditions but they still said no they won't fix it. So I figure I can just take the numbers off and take it to another Ford dealer. How come just because I took my car to the track it voids the warranty. I can race my car on the street it makes no difference. Anyway I was wondering how can I prevent this problem from happening after my warranty is up? I don't want to pay $1000 to have my tranny fixed every 10K miles. I have 30K on the car and this is the third time this has happened. I think this problem should be recalled But I know that's never going to happen. Just wondering how many people have had this same problem with grinding gears. Maybe if we have enough people we can tell ford and maybe they'll fix it. So what can I do to prevent my trans from grinding after my warranty is up? Thanks sorry I wrote so much but I have a lot on my mind.
