96 auto 2.5L 93K. Intermittent Poblem: Driving at highway speed trans seems to go into neutral for a couple of seconds and back to overdrive. Also,once it hesitated after putting the shifter in reverse and the o\d light began flashing and check engine light came on. Cottman trans pulled the codes and said it has an emissions and a MLSPS code. They say that they would begin by changing the MLSPS sensor, but are not sure that would correct the problem. If the o\d light is flashing does this mean that the trans is overheating, and has a more serious enternal problem? AMCO trans said there is numerous problems with the zd4 and get rid of the car. Any suggestions? Thanks
