Seems like Tulsa and KC sure have a lot of devoted CEG members. Wonder why Wichita is so out-of-the-loop? I see a lot of nice Contours rolling around, but I never see anyone here (on the site) besides RogerB and myself... hmm. A month or so ago I ran up to KC for a day and saw a red SVT with CEG decals, and a blue SHO Taurus absolutely FLEW up behind me on I-35 just so he could get next to me and give me a nod. This was in one day! Drives me nuts. Oh well, driving to KC and Tulsa for CEG meets gives me a reason to get away!

I agree, I feel like pretty much the only member on here from T-Town. Suprising for so big a city.
I can handle the lonelyness though. (Sniff)

From what I've seen in central and northeast Kansas, most younger dudes are driving pickups nowadays. The few guys you do see in cars are usually driving muscle cars like old Camaros, Firebirds, or Mustangs. When I was growing up, no self-respecting dude was gonna be seen in a four door sedan. When I bought the Mystique, it was my first four door sedan, after driving two door cars for 30 years.

'99 Mystique LS, totally original (including the original water pump and the premium stereo)! Bought new in December 1998 for $21,000.

Big thing here is Hondas and Mitsubishis... but mostly Hondas. Oh, well. Just more lunch for the sleeper Contour!

Any excuse to drive is a good one!
I know 3 SVT owners or former owners, but I don't think any of them come around CEG. One of the guys told me about it, but now he sold his SVT to get a family-friendly Subaru Forrester . Another guy I see all the time at local autocross events, where he consistently kicks butt, but I don't think he's around here, either. The other guy, well, I can't tell if he's clueless or just doesn't care. He knows he has a nice car, and that's about it. He's just not wired like us. I mean, I saw his car yesterday, and it was dirty! Imagine.

Technically, it blows. Especially during May-June.

Whats up?
Man Im here in Wichita... I drive a *red 98 Contour GL. Actually there is a hole in the block the size of a baseball... so Im putting in a new engine this week.
Anyhow... I also drive a Blue 95 Escort... Borla Exhaust, K&N Intake, Magnacore ignition wires, Accel Ignition coil, NGK plugs, and some minor engine accents... Any how its good enough to handle alot of the idiots around here. But the Escort threw a rod... so the past week I swapped in another engine... lol.
Anyhow... I been lookin for you guys... I came to this site like a year or two ago... it would be great to meet up with you guys!!!
BTW... It was about a year ago... but some guy in a Maroon Contour with some rims and a toruing wing I think was doing a burn out Near Douglas and Main...

Hmmm, never seen that maroon Tour before. There are a couple nice Tours around, but none of them are CEGers. RogerB and I met up at an autocross once, he has a slick pre-98. Keep in touch or come see me at Auto Image on E. Harry st.
