I tried a buuuuuuuuunch of things to get my headlights cleaned up and what finally worked was the following:

180 grit sandpaper
800 grit sandpaper
1000 grit sandpaper
2000 grit sandpaper
metal polish
paint cleaner
zaino

They went from bad to better. I don't have any pics yet since applying the polish, cleaner and Zaino, but I'll try to get some soon.

well the sandpaper was probably a waste of time.. if you gonna use 180 grit sandpaper on it, you just gonna scratch it up pretty bad and then have to keep going with the sandpaper to get the scratched out of the plastic........
i guess you could start with 50 grit paper and go from there...i tried 100 grip paper first on a piece of broken lense that i collected from a crash site and all it did was make the plastic lense frosted... it did remove the cloudiness off the plastic, but took off too much plastic..
kinda like using a lawnmower on your face to shave..it will remove hair but::::
thats why i used the turtle wax polishing compound...it contains a grit and it helped to take off the haze.....

Right...because God knows every other gimmick I tried worked so well.

may or may not be the best way to do it but its certainly aobut the cheapest....i used the turtle wax rubbing compound on my 8 yr old se headlights and it worked great....

first washed them with dishsoap and water..dried and applied rubbing compound with a damp cloth...wiped off and rewashed and finished them off with some wax i had sitting in the garage...some areas require a bit more elbow grease than others but it definitely works...just dont scrub the surrounding painted areas

made a big big difference to the point where my girls father and brother both did their lights after seeing my car

My headlights where very yellow, and made my car look ugly. I use Novus Plastic Polish No. 2. It works great and is only about $5.75 for a 8oz bottle. I think they sell it at NAPA. It works wonders, it made my headlights look brand new. I put it on my moms headlights and they look brand new also. Hers we so yellow that she had to drive with her highbeams on and still could barly see. This stuff works great and is very cheap. Hope this helps you out. I have before and after pics, just email me at whoppalulu@hotmail.com to see the results.

I received my sample of Gel-Gloss yesterday. I had mixed results. It did take some of the yellowing off, but not all of it.
