my A/C needs to be recharged, the shop i had been goin to says they'll charge 80-90 bucks! is that normal or should i go elsewhere?

why don't you buy a can of r134 at walmart for like $11, read the instructions, and fill it up yourself ?
if it's only a recharge, then it's that simple. if you're the "do it right" kind of guy you might even spend $5 more for a pressure gauge.

Shop here charged $15 for recharge and UV stuff added. Went back to find where leak was, and he refilled it for free. Then I pulled the a/c all out cuz it cost a lot to fix.

yep just bought the kit at walmart to charge the wife's 'stang...the kit to charge it(which is just a hose with some fittings)was like $9.95...and they had r134a for like 2 cans for $9...it is simple,you just connect the hose to the a/c port,and the other to the can and it fills it...very,very easy to do...

cost me 55 bucks... AND.. :tear:: they say it has a leak.... quoted around $429 for a fix of it all... grr

you can try that R134a stuff with the stop leak in it if its a slow leak.
