I have a 1997 zetec.

I found a tube coming from the top of the automatic transmission that is not connected to anything.

The tube comes out of the atx right next to the selector lever position sensor (from Haynes).

It is not one of the atx oil cooler lines (the two that go to the radiator).

Can anyone help me figure out what the tube is for and where it's supposed to go?

thanks!
Tom

IIRC, what you are describing is probably a vent, or breather tube, and I don't think it goes anywhere.

The end of atx vent tube on my '98 is held in place with a plastic clamp at the top of rear battery hold-down clamp J bolt. My '97 doesn't appear to have one.
