I was coming home from work today and what did I see parked across the street? a new Chrysler Crossfire, a beautiful vehicle... I began to talk to the owner, and check out the car in a little more detail and I would have to say I am a little disappointed in chrysler's new "sports car" It is a mercedes benz essentially, and has all the luxurys of a benz... 18" rims on the front with brake pads inscribed with the Mercedes Logo, 19" rims on the back with the same. The inside is gorgeous with a component system and 2 woofers in the rear. Electronic everything. I wish they would have beefed up the engine however... with only a SOHC V6 that only pushes 215 horse. I would say this is a luxury coupe and nowhere near a sports car. But overall it is a very beautiful car.

I've driven a manual one and i was not very impressed. It had a decent amount of power but the shifter was very vague. It also had the wierd throttle that mercedes come with that makes the car act like it has a turbo, slow at first then allows full throttle.

Are there going to be any performance upgrades available for this car? If so, I can see room for improvement. If not, then like it was said before: Originally posted by Kevdogg410: I would say this is a luxury coupe and nowhere near a sports car. But overall it is a very beautiful car.
And what a nice luxury car it will be.

Chrysler just sucks bad. Their profits are down something like 90 percent from last year.
They have no exciting products at all.

Could it be because Diamler bought them out or is it because they now just suck and have no new creative ideas?
I however, do like the new Crossfire a little bit. I must admit, I feel stupid now. I was confusing the Crossfire with the Pontiac Solstice. Don't ask me how, I just had the two mixed up. Now the Pontiac Solstice is KILLER lovely. Check out the review/pics on this link.
