OK guys...
Problem #1-The car is still running at the "L" after back flush and 180 thermostat.
Problem #2-It takes me over a mile to get up to 60 mph. She accelerates weak up to 3000 RPM and then she doesn't want to go any higher .

Things I still need to do: fuel filter, PCV, and I haven't checked the EGR system at all. Or the coil. Could these really keep the car running this bad? Also, can I change the fuel filter without removing the rear wheel? My rims have a nut that requires an adapter and it didn't come with the car .

Any help would be most appreciated. This car is starting to get kind of frustrating

Have you changed the spark plugs and plug wires? That might be a cause of your bad acceleration. Regarding the fuel filter, all you have to do it is back the car up onto some ramps, or put it on jackstands. Look under the car a few inches in front of the passenger side rear wheel and a few inches from the outside edge of the car. You should see a cylinder shaped object with a hose coming out of each end and held up by a metal clamp. That is your fuel filter. Be careful removing it though because it is full of gas. I hope I was some help. Oh and remember to block your front wheels before getting under the car. Very important.

That cracked me up! Don't know why...

Changed the fuel filter today, not too hard. If you put the caps from the new one on the old one, you spill less gas . I changed the plug wires last week, and the plugs looked pretty new. I got the new PVC valve, and am procrastinating on putting it in. Could it be my timing is off? And if that is the case, can I correct it myself, or do I need to have someone time it for me?

How about the fact the the gas has been in the car for 5 months

Your timing could be off and you can set it yourself, but it's not fun and it takes some time.

If it was/is the EGR you would definitely be getting a CEL. Mine threw one at 90K for the first time ever and it was the EGR sensor. I would say check the fuel filter.

Im in the same boat with you, my car does the exact same thing. I got my timing belt replaced, drive belt, and water pump replaced by ford. This did NOT fix the problem. Replaced MAF and fuel filter, NO fix. This has been a problem for me for about 8 months, so I hope you can find the fix where I cannot. Good luck!

Contour needs the green type (unless car is new, then dexcool is an option).
