I just got a Superchip for my 95 SE ATX, but when I installed the chip, it did not work. My car started up fine and drove fine, but the chip was not working. My rev limiter was not raised, though with my code it might not be, and I did not feel any performance gains at all. I cleaned the connectors really well, so I do not know what is wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I was there with Skeletor, and the install went perfectly. The thing that is surprising is that it started up but with no gains. Usually when a chip is not making proper connections it stalls or does not start at all.

Chalk it up to the inconsistency of chips on various PCM codes. Some people love em, some people seem to feel no gains.

It shouldn't be a contact issue, or else (like Dan said) it would stutter, stall, or not start up at all.

Just to make sure if you want, you might consider spending the $40-50 to get a before/after dyno test and see if there are gains (that might be unnoticeable) or you might find out it didn't do anything.

With an ATX, you should at least see the firm shifting patterns from the superchip. There could be something wrong with the chip... -Nick

The first time I disconnected the battery and PCM fuses. The second time I just disconnected the battery.

Hey Skeletor,
What pcm code do you have? I have a 95 with NUN1, and I didn't buy a chip because I heard how hard that code is to "enhance".

I have the code PEW4. Now that I have driven it for a few days though, the car seems to be getting stronger as the computer resets itself. I am starting to feel a definite increase in power more in the midrange though, but it is there. I think that I just needed to let the computer become adjusted for a few days to feel the increase.
