I own a 1999 4cyl Tour. She has 90k on the original engine. I have recently been to a car show and caught the mod bug. My question that I pose is this. Do I forego the performance in way of looks due to the high milage, save, buy a new engine, and then go for speed or simply take a shot and try to mod up the existing engine and hope for the best? Another question I have is, Can anyone tell me where I can find an SVT body kit or tell me about someone who can do a custom body kit for a tour. Thanx for all the help.

Check the group buy section. Cant miss the MASSIVE amounts of bodykit posts. I vouch for not modding the engine too heavily, especially if its an automatic. I guess it all depends how much your willing to spend and how long u plan on keeping the car.

If you're gonna show it, skip the performance mods & invest in some nice bodywork & paint. Use your creativity to come up with some other aesthetic enhancements.

Once you're done with that, you might consider an intake/exhaust mod plan just to feed the bug.


Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

thanxs for the info. nice ride. is that an svt or did you just add a body kit? mine is a 5spd manual by the way. where did you get the indiglo gauge set up?

thanx. i will take that into concideration. however, if i just go for looks, won't i lose points in a show for no engine work?
