Anyone here working in this environment? I'm having problems with one of my servers and the IMA service stopping unexpectedly.

I check my event viewer for that server and get a event 7031.

I've checked the citrix KB to no avail. Anyone else here have had this problem?

I hate Citrix. I was at work until 1am last night working on setting up an environment. I have to set up a farm of 9 servers. Each with a maximum connection limit of 2 per server so when someone tries to connect to the 1st server and 2 othe rpoeple are connected, the 3rd guy would get bumped down to the next server. its a pain in the azz. I have not had the problem you are speaking of yet but if i run into it I will let you know.

its so annyoing.

we have a 3 server Farm here. With each one having a capacity of 50 users.

anyways, if you happen to be looking @ the users through the Metaframe software and notice that one of the servers is not showing its users. Check that servers IMA service and you will find that it has stopped. All you need to start that service again.

Well, here is my problem. Every time I try to lo on to any of the servers in the farm, it says this server is not accepting any connections at this time!!!!! ARG! What a useless piece of software! I have to go into work @ 6:30am tomorrow to fix it cause testing starts at 9! I had it all running fine then people started farting around with it and now its completely fugged. IDIOTS!

We have a 3 server farm here.. We also had problems with the IMA service dying on us. What it turned out to be was load balancing causing problems. If you have it set to advanced, you will have issues.. set it to basic and it should help. If it already set to basic, I cant help ya much.

We went through 3 months of constant server crashes and freezes untill we saw that, set it to basic all has been well ever since.

could you go into more depth here? I'm a novice with Citrix.

Which server do I change the setting on? all three Meta's or just the main one?

as well, are we talking about the load evaluators?

On the main app server, You do it through the CMC (citrix managment console).. go down to servers, right click, load manage servers. You should see a list of servers on the left hand side.. click add all, choose default from the box below that click apply.. the servers should jump to the left again and have a default under evaluators.

if they already have a default under evaluators you dont need to do this obviously.
