I'm going to be passing through Illinois in August on my west on a cross-country driving vacation.

I am trying to figure out how much I am going to have to pay in tolls to get out west, and New York, Indiana and Ohio have pretty good websites to figure out their toll rates for respective highways...

However, the Tri-State Tollway website's info on toll rates is way too confusing.

Can someone tell me approximately how much it would cost to take the road end-to-end; i.e., from I-80 in the south to the Wisconsin border?

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

There will be four 40 cent and one 50 cent tollbooths, $2.10. Enjoy!

Mmkay? I steer clear of the toll roads if possible. Once a friend and I went to chicago and hit like four different spots to pay a toll. We threw change in the basket and like nothing happened so we just left. It was like midnight and there was noone else on the road. We didn't know if you only paid tolls during the day or what. So we just kept driving though them while throwing pennies out the window.
