I just recently noticed that my right turn signal is blinking faster than the left. Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it?

Check your bulbs. A bulb blinking faster usually means a burnt out bulb or bad/loose connection.

This is under the assumption that it blinks approximately twice as fast as normal. This is actually a nice feature, as it lets you know if one (or both) of your bulbs is out, before the police pull you over for 'failure to signal'.

I checked it today and the right back was out. After work tonite I went to Wal-mart to get a new bulb, and I checked it again because it stopped blinking fast. It was working, so it must just be that great work Ford did on our electrical system. Any easy way to make connections good? I'm going to check in the trunk tomorrow, anywhere else to look?

Alternately, you could have intermittent contact in bulb holder due to water leak corrosion or loss of "spring" in contact. Both of these have been observed by members. Latter can be restored by removing bulb and pulling contacts up a little with bent paperclip or needle nose pliers (power off of course).

Yeah, I had the same problem and every time I messed with the bulb it would blink correctly. But after a few miles again it would fail. I thought it might have been the wiring or contacts, but I decided to take a cheap $$ jab at it and just replace the bulb and it has worked fine since.
